Jeff Jones, CNDAI, AIS, RASI

Jeff Jones

As one who has experienced life on both sides of the track, Jeff Jones brings a unique skill set that can be understood by all. As a recovering alcoholic and heroin addict, Jeff has seen firsthand the worst of what addiction can do to lives and families. It has become Jeff's passion to facilitate recovery in suffering alcoholics and addicts, as well as healing in the lives of their families.

Jeff became a Certified National Drug and Alcohol Interventionist (CNDAI) in 2005. Jeff is a member of AIS Association of interventionist Specialist. He now travels throughout the country to help families and individuals deal with the problems and pain created by addictive behavior.

Jeff’s personal experience--recovery via the 12-step program and his spiritual walk have given him a unique and effective background perfectly suited to break the addict’s intense denial. Jeff’s compassionate and supportive approach has made him a valued resource in leading the hopeless toward a life filled with promise.

Jeff began his career in addiction recovery in 2005 as a ministry leader at Calvary Chapel Capo Beach in San Juan Capistrano, CA. He created a meeting format specifically designed for alcoholics and addicts that included individual-specific 12-step programs and pastoral care.

In 2006, Jeff co-founded theeffect (www.theeffect.org) along with several others from the surrounding area.  The Effect, focuses on the spiritual aspect of the 12 steps to help jump start it's members towards freedom from their addictions.

As a founding member of theeffect, Jeff counseled alcoholics and addicts and their family members, taught 12-step workshops, performs interventions, and has opened and managed sober living houses. Jeff spent 6 years volunteering at Laguna Beach Friendship Shelter having had the insight that a large portion of the homeless have substance abuse issues.

In his spare time Jeff enjoys spending time with his 3 children. Jeff also enjoys surfing "all over this blue planet".
